Jeffrey Dean Yager
Jeffrey Dean Yager passed away peacefully on September 27, 2024 at Ascension Genesys Hospital after a long and tiring battle with his health.
Jeff was born on February 26, 1962 in Flint Michigan to Margaret Judd. Ron Judd chose to love Jeff as his own and raised him with Marge. They had their hands full with four boys. Jeff had three brothers, Scott Yager, Kenny Judd and Ron Yager. Together they were able to get into a little mischief and make tons of memories. That later became hilarious stories.
When Jeff got older, he enlisted in the Army and served our country. He was primarily stationed in Georgia.
He had 3 kids Rebecca Yager, Amanda (Cody) Roselles, and Jeffrey (Richard) Yager who he adored, A stepdaughter; Kelli Cottec and seven grandkids – Christopher, Kellen, Carter, Everly, Ryan, Chance and Karter who were the light of his life.
Jeff married his wife Lori Cottec in 2010. He thoroughly enjoyed going to concerts, long car rides, listening to music, sitting on the porch and camping. He loved watching Michigan football and cheering for the Detroit Lions. But, his one true love was his family. His children and grand children were his world. He will be sadly missed, but his memory will live on through the ones he loved so dearly.
Jeff was preceded in death by his Mother; Margaret Judd, Father; Ron Judd, brothers; Kenny Judd, and Scott Yager.
A private family service was held on 09/30/2024 at Detroit Cremation Society. A public veterans burial service will be scheduled at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date.

Love you Uncle Jeff. Still can’t believe you are gone. I’m glad your pain is done.
Amanda, there are no words to describe how much he appreciated you. You took care of him for the last two years, the hardest years, of his life. No matter how hard they were. You were there. You are amazing and he loved you beyond measure. If he were here, he would thank you and I know he would say the same.
I still have to laugh.. because I know!! I just know .. Grandma Marge welcomed him to Heaven, with, what the hell are you doing here?!? But also, with open arms and probably a delicious meal. Ham, most likely.
We miss you, man… but I’m so glad you’re not in pain anymore. We love you, and we’ll see you again. ♥️
