Guindelean Marie Root


Guindelean Root age 66, of Flint, Michigan passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025. In accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Guindelean’s tribute wall at detroitcremationsociety.com.

Guindelean Marie Root was born on January 7, 1959, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. Thomas C. Taylor and Mrs. Hazel Basham (Elliott). Guin loved to play bingo, sew, and travel.

Left to cherish her memory are daughter Elizabeth (Jeffery) Dewar, son Paul (Cristina) Bagwell Jr., son Timothy Root, several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, mother Hazel, brother Tom, and sister Marsha.

Guin was preceded in death by father Thomas C Taylor, and husband Victor Root.

    Dear Mom,
    I love you so much and I miss you terribly but I know you are not suffering anymore and you are right where you wanna be with dad. I just want you to know that I will take care of the Boys the best I can and that we will always be there for each other. You and dad keep looking down on us and know that we are ok and that we got each other. I love you mom fly high my angel!!

    Very greatful Guin was an part of my life.
    She was defiantly one in a million !!!!
    We lost contact a few times but always came back together for some fun!!!!!!
    I chose to remember the good days, and her giant beautiful smile!!! This is what I will miss most,and her laugh !!!!!!!!!
    I was so happy for her when her and Vic become a forever Couple!! <3 She Finley got the happiness she so much deserved!!!!
