Gloria Rose Schlaufman


Age 87, of Gladwin, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Gloria’s tribute wall at detroitcremationsociety.com.

Gloria Rose Schlaufman was born on September 4, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin and May (Bovin) Otto, little sister to Gilbert and Norma. Gloria enjoyed lake living in Sugar Springs surrounded by her family and friends. She was an active member of the Wagerville United Methodist church, and looked forward to singing in the choir. Gloria frequently participated in her quilting club and enjoyed their yearly bus trips across the US.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter; Lori (Dan) Winters of Grand Blanc,  her step daughters; Lisa (John) Sammut of Washington, Dawn Moilanen of Richmond, Sherry (Chadd) Yagiela of Rochester, and many loving grandchildren.

Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved husband Lee Schlaufman, her cherished son Brian Ledger, and her siblings, Gilbert Otto and Norma (Parker) Otto.

A Celebration of Life/Memorial Service will be held from 11:30am to 1:00pm on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Detroit Cremation Society in Grand Blanc.
