Gloria Ann Barnhart
Gloria Ann Barnhart (Sherwood)(Pettey) age 88 of Flint passed away on Thursday, February 13,2025. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Gloria’s tribute wall at detroitcremationsociety.com. A memorial get together will be celebrated Saturday February 22nd from 1-4 at Mario’s Pizza 5227 Fenton Road , Flint, MI.
Gloria was born on November 28,1936 in Flint, MI, the daughter of Grant and Gertrude (Fleming) Sherwood. She married Joel Barnhart in 1989. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She was a supervisor at K-Mart in Flint.
Left to cherish her memory are four children, Michael (Tammie) Pettey, Craig Pettey, Kathleen (Hank) Sherwood, Trisha Bridges. Four grandchildren, Ryan (Aubrey) Pettey, Aaron Pettey, Arika (Nick) Lakey, Ben (Lauren) Sherwood Five great grandchildren, Nathaniel, Kaydence, Rylee, Benjamin and Kayden . Several nieces and nephews. Many close friends.
Gloria was processed in death by her husband, parents and brother Tom Sherwood and sister Judy Green.

Michael (Tammie), Craig, Kathleen and Trisha, sending my prayers and love to your family. I had the privilege and honor of having your mother as a friend while living at Rosehaven Manor, playing cards, taking care of her fur babies when she needed me to and our morning talks everyday.
I am saddened to hear of the loss of Gloria. I offer my heartfelt condolences to the entire family. I feel honored that I had the opportunity to know and love Gloria. I feared the day that Arika would lose her Nana. Gloria was a big part of Arika’s life and I thank her for that. Sending my love to all!
