Though I did not see Emil in quite a few years the earlier time in his life when I was blessed to be around him will never be forgotten. He was one of those rare individuals that when you greeted each other made you feel like you were the only person that existed. And then the beautiful poetry of his over the top compliments – and that smile and warmth. Goodbye for now Emil – I look forward to a future embrace!
Emil was truly a dear friend. We had many laughs, usually at my expense. He had a great wit and was quick to express same. May his memory be eternal and may he find peace in the arms of his beloved Carolyn.

Rest in peace Boss. I’m grateful I got to know you.
Mr J was truly a pleasure to work with. His professionalism and assistance to our Sheriff’s Office throughout the years greatly enhanced public services to our communities. Great sense of humor which also made a stressful environment less stressful for all. Definitely one of the best!
Emil and I graduated from Flint Northwestern High School together in 1967. We had some great times together while in school but after graduation we only saw each other a few times. Please accept my deepest sympathies during this most difficult time. Emil was a great guy.
What a kind and gentle man. He will be missed by all of us in Lapeer county.
Few people that you meet in life have a lasting impact and Emil was one of those people. I have much respect for Emil and am forever glad that our paths crossed when I started working at Genesee County where I supported the FOC computer system. He was intelligent, hard working, fair and always had a quip or a joke handy, usually at my expense but in a good way. May his family find peace and comfort as they say their final goodbye to him. Rest in peace dear Emil.
