David MacDonald Brewster

David MacDonald Brewster, age 100, of Livonia, passed away on January 27, 2022. To honor his wishes, cremation has taken place. David MacDonald Brewster was born on December 21, 1921, in Detroit, the son of Archie and Aileen (Keyes) Brewster. David graduated from Wayne University Law School in 1952 (later becoming Wayne State University Law School). David practiced law in the city for over 50 years before he and his longtime assistant Dora Anderson closed the office around 2010. He was a staunch supporter of the City of Detroit and longtime member of the Northwest Exchange Club. A proud member of the United Flying Octogenarians (UFO), he continued flying private planes into his eighties.

Surviving David are his sons, Michael (and former wife Michelle) Brewster of Redford, MI; Paul, and wife Nancy Brewster of Sault Sainte Marie, MI; and David (and former wife Nancy) Brewster of Dillon, CO; son-in-law Ken Brinich of Bend. OR; and stepsons Larry and wife Susanne Rowe of Fort Wayne, IN; Terry and wife Eva Rowe of North Myrtle Beach; and fifteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

David was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joy Brewster (March 2020); his dearly remembered daughter, Susan Brewster Brinich of Bend, OR (February 2011); his sisters, Helen Brewster and Mary McMicken; and his brother Robert (Bob) Brewster.
