Carol Lousie (Kilburn) Roeske

Age 77, of Grand Blanc, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Carol’s tribute wall at detroitcremationsociety.com.

Carol Louise Roeske was born on October 22, 1947, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chester and Lola (Gillmore) Kilburn. She was generous, quirky, creative, fun loving and kind! She loved being out in the garden and had a passion for quilting. She was known as Miss Carol, a wonderful preschool teacher who was loved by all her students. She was always there to listen to others and gave great advice to all.

Left to cherish her memory are her son: Justin, Daughters: Camille and Rachelle, five grandchildren, her sister: Gail Meyer (Paul), four nephews, sister: Leann Seeley (Patrick), three nieces, and great niece Little Lily Rose.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents: Chester and Lola, and beloved grandmother: Lola Irish.

We were blessed to have many memories that we will treasure forever but we know that she is now in heaven with her Savior.

Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Information to follow.

I met Carol Roeske I think in 2003 when her daughter Rachelle and I became neighbors. Every now and then Rachelle and I would hang out and run errands together and would stop by to visit Carol. The day Rachelle had her baby Carolyn, I learned from Carol that we were talking about Family history names and realized we are actually related as distant cousins on my mother’s side of the Cleveland family. Carol was a very sweet and kind lady. It was a pleasure to see her recently. She was full of smiles. I’m gonna miss her sweet smiles. May she fly high with the angels in Heaven! God bless!
