Carol Jean Rupert, age 82, of Holly, Michigan passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024.

She was born on September 18, 1941 in Toledo, Ohio. Carol attended Waite high school in Toledo and worked for Libbey Owens Ford as a secretary for many years.

Carol and her late husband Gary shared a wonderful journey together since they married on October 5, 1963 and celebrated 50 years of marriage on October 5, 2013. They built a life filled with love and cherished memories. Their shared passions included camping, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors. Throughout their years together, they were active members of their church community at St. Johns Lutheran in Williston, Ohio. Carol very much enjoyed bird watching and the company of her dogs and cats throughout the years.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Rupert, and her parents Carl and Alice Klawonn. She is survived by her son Chris, brother Ron (Terry) Klawonn, nephews Aaron (Mindy) Klawonn, Ryan Klawonn, niece Kelly Klawonn, cousins Elaine (Armistead) Long, Martha Pachey Cross, Alice Ann Bradford, and Richard Alverman.

A private service was held at Detroit Cremation Services of Grand Blanc, Michigan on Wednesday, April 3, 2024.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice House of Shiawassee County, MI.
