Robert Scott Lewis was born on November 25, 1967, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Robert Lewis and Robbie Chaddock. Scott attended Flint Northern High School and began his career as a master mechanic for Kmart. He later changed career paths, working as a demolition foreman before joining Central Pharmacy, where he delivered medications to patients. During his time making deliveries, Scott formed special friendships with many of the patients he served, reflecting his genuine care and compassion for others. Scott wholeheartedly believed in helping family, friends, and anyone in need. He generously gave his time as a dedicated volunteer with F.I.S.H. of Grand Blanc, assisting with food drives, distributing food to families, and helping maintain the building. F.I.S.H. held an especially meaningful place in Scott’s heart because it gave him the opportunity to volunteer alongside his mother in-law, Barb Smith. The two shared a very special bond, making their time working together even more rewarding. Scott was also a devoted animal lover who held a special place in his heart for his beloved fur babies. On July 28, 2000, he married the love of his life, Pattie Smith, and together they recently celebrated 26 wonderful years of marriage. Scott knew Pattie was his soulmate when he discovered that she shared his love for Elvis. Their shared interests, laughter, and love for one another helped build a beautiful life together. Scott and Pattie treasured their years as parents and grandparents, creating lasting memories and meaningful family traditions that will continue for generations. Scott’s generous heart, willingness to help others, love for animals, and devotion to his family made him a special part of so many lives. The love he shared and the memories he helped create will be cherished by all who knew him.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Pattie; children: Ryan (Jessica) Craig, Amber Lewis, Ronnie Smith, and Bailey (Taylor) Lewis; grandchildren: Dallon, Annie, Stevie, Aurora, JJ, Ana, Bentley, Jasper, and Greyson; Nieces: Lisa, Kayla, and Angel; Nephews: Duncan and Brandon; mother in-law, Barb Smith; sisters in-law: Rhonda (Daryl), CJ, and Leona; aunt, Lori Rivette; uncle, Matt Rivette; and many beloved extended family and friends.
Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Robbie Chaddock, and his brother, Rod Lewis.
Scott’s final and everlasting act of selflessness was giving the gift of life through organ donation. By the evening of his passing, his liver and kidneys had been transplanted, offering hope and a second chance at life to others. Even in his final moments, Scott’s generous spirit continued to make a difference, leaving behind a lasting legacy of compassion and giving.
Scott’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Hurley for the unwavering care they provided Scott and the kindness, compassion, and support they showed his family during such a difficult time. They would also like to sincerely thank the transport team at Gift of Life Michigan for the gentle care they gave Scott and for ensuring his peaceful transition. The family will forever be grateful to everyone who helped honor Scott’s final gift and supported them throughout this journey.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to F.I.S.H. of Grand Blanc.
