Age 42, of Flint, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Lil Bill’s tribute wall at detroitcremationsociety.com.
William Donald Peterson Jr., also known as, Lil Bill, was born on December 3, 1983, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. William Peterson and Ms. Barbara Lane. Lil Bill was born and raised in Flint, Michigan, where Colorado Avenue was home to his family and the place where so many of his childhood memories began. He grew up surrounded by a tight-knit family, where aunts, uncles, and cousins were more than relatives—they were moms, dads, brothers, and sisters. Colorado Avenue was a place filled with family, laughter, and the kind of memories that stayed with you for a lifetime.
Lil Bill was a true free spirit and, without a doubt, the life of the party. He had a personality that could light up a room and a sense of humor that could turn an ordinary moment into a memory people would laugh about for years. He loved to have fun, make people smile, and live life in his own way.
Lil Bill was also blessed with lifelong friends who became family to him, sharing countless laughs, adventures, and memories along the way.
Rest easy, Lil Bill. Keep the party going. You will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Evan Peterson; his siblings: Anthony Peterson and wife, Karen, and Ashlee Peterson; along with family and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Billy was preceded in death by his father, William Peterson; his mother, Barbara Lane; his grandparents; and beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins who were an important part of his life and family.
