Roger Gene Wallace
Age 76, of Clio, passed away on Monday, August 3rd, 2026. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Roger’s tribute wall at detroitcremationsociety.com.
Roger Gene Wallace was born on October 20, 1949, in Midland, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest and Donna (Fenskie) Wallace.
Roger served in the United States Army in Germany from July 9, 1969, until his honorable discharge on May 14, 1971. He loved playing softball with his family and friends, and spending time creating new memories with them.
Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Jeff and Jason; his granddaughter, Katelyn; his brother, Earl and wife, Angie Wallace; his sister, Deborah Hosner; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Donna Wallace; his brothers: Rod, Terry, and Mike; and his brother-in-law, Homer Hosner.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses and doctors at Hurley Medical Center in Flint for the care provided.

Roger and I developed a friendship after years of me delivering his mail. We would chat at the mailbox, the corner store, the plaza up town… everywhere we ran into each other we would make time for a small chat. Our conversations were short but personal. He was a good listener and always followed up with questions about where I left off. I will miss you, my friend.
