Iva Jean Madigan
Age 77, of Davison, Michigan passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026. In accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Iva’s tribute wall at detroitcremationsociety.com
Iva Jean Madigan (Cornelison) was born August 16th 1948 in Paragould Arkansas. She is the first child of Eldon and Alma Cornelison. She graduated college with a bachelor’s degree in education and retired from her teaching career in Bendle Schools.
Outside of work she volunteered at The Soup Kitchen, loved playing games with family and friends, and working in her garden. She has touched many lives through her teaching and volunteer work. Her family meant the world to her.
She is survived by her sons Joseph and Matthew Madigan, grandchildren Jon, Arlo, Leigho, Layla, Maddox, and Gillian, and her siblings Ronnie Cornelison, Retha Dawson, and Gary Cornelison.
She was predeceased by her parents Eldon and Alma Cornelison and her sister Phyllis “Joanie” Cornelison.
A memorial service for friends and family will be held Thursday June 25th from 4 – 7 pm at Davison Odd Fellows – 2134 N. Irish Rd. Davison MI 48423.

I am so sorry for your loss. We grew up together in Sun Valley sub and later on Cook rd. Unfortunately we lost touch but so many memories of all 5 kids.

Iva was a great grandma to me, sure we’ve had our ups and downs as a grandma grandson relationship, but we both knew we loved eachother, she will forever live inside of my heart to never be forgotten.
