David Paul Jenkins
Beloved husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather, David Paul Jenkins, age 71, of Atlas Township, Michigan, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place. There will be no formal ceremony, but a celebration of life will follow at a later date. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on David’s tribute wall at detroitcremationsociety.com.
David Paul Jenkins was born on December 29, 1954 in Highland Park, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. David and Phyllis (Hansen) Jenkins. He graduated from Thurston High School in 1973 and went on to work in HVAC repair and maintenance positions for most of his life. He married his wife Ronda (Lawson) Jenkins in 1978 and they raised two sons in the 42 years they spent together. He was an active member of his church and enjoyed playing cards, spending time with his grandchildren, and helping people in any way he could.
Left to cherish his memory are sons Derek (Carolyn) Jenkins and Dylan (Amanda) Jenkins, sisters Karen Jenkins and Pamela (Tom) Henn, grandchildren David, Emilia, and Ernie, nephews David and Tommy Henn, great-niece Kelsey Foster-Henn, great-great-niece Everly, as well as many others who were lucky to consider him a friend or even part of their family.
David was preceded in death by wife Ronda (Lawson) Jenkins, parents David and Phyllis (Hansen) Jenkins, mother-in-law Wanda (Carr) Hittinger, and niece Karen Henn.

Dave was always smiling. He had a strong handshake and a big hug. Dave helped out in Church when there was things to do. He will be miss by lots of people.
I have so many wonderful memories of my cousin , David, both growing up and most recently when he and your father visited the family while were vacationing at Hubbard Lake. Such a gentle man. My condolences to all of you. May he rest in peace and your family find peace in his memory and in your faith.
