Age 50, of Birmingham, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Walter’s tribute wall at detroitcremationsociety.com.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Walter Lee Threat Jr. who was born on May 20, 1975 in Birmingham, Alabama, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter and Marian (Winston) Threat. Walter was adventurous, loved traveling, cooking, family, enjoyed joking and laughing. He was passionate about reading, always learning sometime and his love for animals spending time with his best pal Grace who was also by his side. Walter excelled in truck driving. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unforgettable memories.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents Walter Lee Threat Sr. (father) and Marian W. Harris (mother). He is survived by his sons Jaquarrius West of Birmingham, AL and Julius Threat-Marsh of Houston, TX. Mia N. Threat (sister) and James W. Harris (brother) Birmingham, AL. Long-time companion Sarah Spencer Great Falls, CO.

Left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
