Bea Krupp
Beatrice “Bea” Krupp, 64, of Clio, Michigan, passed away on November 22, 2025. She was born in Flint, Michigan, on May 15, 1961, to Eugene and Estelle (Edgley) Kitson.
Bea grew up in Flint and attended Flint Community Schools. Hard-working and determined from a young age, she waited tables at Ponderosa to support herself while continuing her education. She went on to study at Ross Medical Education Center and later earned her nursing education through Baker College of Flint. Bea devoted her career to caring for others, working at McLaren Hospital and later at the Kent County Correctional Facility.
Bea’s greatest joy came from helping the people she loved. She was always the first to offer a hand—whether babysitting, driving someone to appointments, or simply being there when needed. She loved her children and grandchildren fiercely, and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for them. Known affectionately as “Omie” by her grandchildren, Bea treasured every moment she spent with them and spoiled them as much as she possibly could. Feisty, witty, and wonderfully easygoing, Bea had a warmth that made everyone feel welcome. Her homemade meals were a comfort and a tradition her family cherished. She also found joy in collecting M&Ms and bumblebee-themed items, treasures that brought her simple happiness and reflected her playful, bright spirit.
Some of Bea’s fondest memories were the summers she and her children spent with her mother and extended family in Traverse City and Fife Lake. She treasured those simple, joyful days surrounded by loved ones.
In 2002, Bea married the love of her life, Bill Krupp. Together, they built a happy, peaceful life. They enjoyed playing Scrabble, going out to eat, and feeding the squirrels and a beloved woodchuck they affectionately named Chuck from their back deck. Their marriage was the perfect companionship.
Bea was truly one of the most loving and compassionate people in the world. Her kindness touched everyone she met, and the world was undoubtedly a better place with her in it.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Estelle Kitson; her brothers, David Kitson and Keith Kitson; and her half sister, Gloria Szentessy.
Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Bill Krupp; her children Amy (Garrick) Ringwelski, Carl (Brittany) Sweers, and Joshua (Amanda) Sweers; stepson Austin (Lindsy) Krupp; and her cherished grandchildren Jake, Megan, Taylor, Carleigh, Carson, Caiden, Brinnley, Lilyanah, Kylie, Harmony, Troy, and Stevie Lou; her siblings Barbara (Mark) Rix, Terry Saunders, Karen Kitson; and her brother, Kenneth Kitson.
Per Bea’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 30th, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Detroit Cremation Society, 8253 S. Saginaw, Grand Blanc, MI 48439.
Bea’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
