Donna J. Bozung
Bozung, Donna J.—Of Davison, age 87, died Friday November 7, 2025. Donna Jean (Mott) Bozung was born on May 16, 1938, in Flint, Michigan the daughter of William and Margaret (McKinnon) Mott. She attended Flint Schools and graduated from Flint Northern High School in 1956. After high school she remained in Flint and worked at Bell Telephone and Federal’s Department Store before hiring into General Motors/AC Spark Plug where she retired after 30 years of service. Donna was social and enjoyed bowling and golfing where she belonged to numerous leagues throughout the county with her friends from work. She was also known to appreciate an occasional trip to the casino with her sister or with Ed. Her desserts were phenomenal, and she loved to share her baking creations with her family, friends and other company who she took pleasure in entertaining. She was always reading, often a few books at one time, which she happily gave away to family with a small synopsis when she was finished. She impressively embraced technology and knew more about computers and certain apps than those generations younger than her. Above all, Donna was forever generous with her love and time and was always present for those she cared about. She was an exceptional gift giver and always found the perfect present to show her thoughtful and kind nature. She greeted those she loved with open arms and said goodbye with a “love you!” Her calm presence, sincere, caring disposition and practical, reliable counsel will be missed.
Left to cherish her memory are her sister Kathy, daughter-in-law Sandy, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nephews and special cousins with whom she remained close to. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Margaret, daughter Deanna (Bozung) Reynolds, son Derrik Bozung on September 2, 2025, and life companion, Edward Yonan.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Donna’s tribute wall at www.detroitcremationsociety.com.
