At the age of 84, Gordon William Hiller of Corunna, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 in Flint, Michigan.

Born on November 17, 1940 in Flint, Michigan, Gordon was the son of Mr. and Mrs.William and Viola (Martin) Hiller. While attending Flint Central High School and after his graduation, Gordon worked for the family business, Dad’s Enterprises, which included Dad’s Carfeteria drive-in restaurant in Flint, Michigan. Soon after graduation, Gordon joined the Army. After his service to his country, he resumed working in the family restaurant. It was there that he met his future wife, Joann Laugavitz, and they were married soon after. They were married for 61 years, and Gordon was a devoted husband and father. Later on as entrepreneurs, Gordon and his wife owned Dad’s Party Store in Durand, Michigan, until his retirement.

Gordon was preceded in death by his father (William Hiller) and his mother Viola (Martin) Hiller.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Joann (Laugavitz) Hiller, his son, Gordon Hiller Jr., his daughter, Marianne (Hiller) Mancini, Marianne’s husband, Peter Mancini, and Gordon’s 3 grandchildren, Michael Hiller, Zachary Mancini, and Chloe Mancini.

In accordance with his wishes, a private ceremony to spread his ashes will be held. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Gordon’s tribute wall at detroitcremationsociety.com.
