Dawn was born on March 8, 1962, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey and Sandra (Liquia) Furze. She graduated from Flint Central High School, and worked many jobs, her favorite of which was being a mom. She gave birth to her only child, Tyler Todd on November 29,1995. She enjoyed Bingo and pull tabs. She loved the Flint Generals and Firebirds hockey, not only for the great friends she made there, but also the arenas popcorn. She loved making Diamond Art, and recently completed beautiful pieces for many family and friends. She loved a good clearance sale, and loved gas station slushies even more. She will be remembered for being loving, caring and always willing to do anything for anyone.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Tyler (Karinna) Furze, of Flint, siblings; Todd (Dee Dietz) of Flint, Beth (Esther Cortez) of West Branch and Amy (Bob) Trego of Holly and her grandcats, Cosmo and Janie. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, Samantha (Jacob) Daniels, Kailey (Austin) Hetzer and Jake (Maddy Alfaro) Gray, along with several great nieces, nephews and wonderful cousins. She was lovingly referred to as “grandma Dawn” by several neighborhood kids, including Riley and Nash.
Dawn was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Sandy, her beloved pup Spaz, , Barbara Varner her “partner-in-crime”, Brother-in-law, Duane Pierson, close friends Gerald and Sandra Boyer and Barbara Miller.
The family would like to extend a large thank you to close family friends; Kris and Colleen Blinkhild, Willie Bland, the Boyer family, the Allgood family, Kaley and Sherrie for always being there for Dawn.

Of all of the kids from the neighborhood that I grew up with it’s hard to think of anyone who was more kind, more caring, and more genuine than Dawn.
