Thomas Howard Hutchinson


Age 77, of Fenton, passed away on January 8, 2025. A Funeral Service will be held at 7:00pm on Tuesday, January 14th, 2025, at Detroit Cremation Society, 8253 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc. Pastor Sarah LaRose-Netell to officiate. Family will be present to receive friends from 5:00pm until the time of the service at 7:00pm. In accordance with his wishes, cremation is to take place after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be considered to the Alzheimer’s Association of Michigan. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Thomas’ Tribute Wall at detroitcremationsociety.com.

Thomas Howard Hutchinson was born on December 16, 1947, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer and Mabel (Valleau) Hutchinson. He graduated in 1966 from Kersley High School. Following high school he served in the US Navy. He married Ilene Hutchinson September 13th, 1988 in Flint, Michigan. Thomas worked as a glazier for 30+ years and retired from Local 357 of Detroit. His favorite place to be was up north at his property in Lake City where you could find him hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with his friends and family.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife; Ilene Hutchinson, children, Tina (Tom) Byczynski of Fenton, Tammy (James Nixon) Maquet of Durand, Cory (Amanda) March of Burton, and Curt (Kristen) March of Linden; grandchildren, Brandon (Nina), Aaron (Rachel), Baylee, Ryan, Austin, Courtney, Marisa, Emily, Hailey, and Alex; great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Blake, and Joia.

Thomas was preceded in passing by his parents; Elmer and Mabel Hutchinson.

    He was an amazing man who would do anything and everything for his friends and family, he was my father in law for 10+ years , me and Tom went up north hunting every year for a long time, he taught me alot about life, he finally gets to go fishing with his buddy bill who has Ben waiting up there for him rip Tom , love you buddy
