Richard L. Selves
Richard L. Selves – of Flint, age 63, died Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at home surrounded by his loved ones. Memorial services will be held Friday, January 10, 2025 at Harvest Time Tabernacle, G-7370 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc. Visitation at 10am, service at 11am and luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to help compensate the caregivers who provided endless hours of care and support of Rick during his final days at home. Richard was born on March 15, 1961, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Aleana (Smith) Selves. He married the love of his life, Deborah Selves, September 19, 1987. He was employed 26 years at Informa Business Systems, installing bank equipment. Rick enjoyed working on countless projects, the outdoors, his dogs, and spending time with his wife.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife; Deborah Selves, son, Robert Selves, mother-in-law, Dorothy McKay, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mary Arnold, Sandra Allsopp (Jeff), John McKay (Amber), and many nieces and nephews,
Richard was preceded in passing by mother and father, Robert and Aleana Selves and daughter -in-law, Laura Selves.

Rick will be sadly missed. He was such a great person and I loved working with him. My prayers, hugs and love to Debbie and his family.
My uncle Rick will be heavily missed, I got to spend lots of time with him and Christmas with him. I enjoyed every bit of it, I played Christmas music and played their wedding song for him to hear for the last time. I was very honored to play my flute for my aunt Debbie and Uncle Rick. But most of all I am so very proud of my Aunt Debbie for being strong through it all, she still smiled through it, she is one of the strongest women I know.
My Uncle Rick will forever be missed. I will always remember him and be thankful for everything I was taught by him. My Aunt Debbie and Uncle Rick were like second parents to me I spend countless days at their house growing up. My prayers go out to Aunt Debbie, my cousin Robert Selves, my mom and dad, and the rest of the family
Rick was one of the good ones. Over the years at Informa he seamed to be always smiling.

Sorry to hear of Ricks passing. I just saw that he pasted this morning on TV. We had good times and memories together as kids. Hanging out between our yards. Laughing and crying sometimes. He will be missed by many.
