Judy Ann Schwegler


Judy Ann Schwegler passed on Monday, July 1, 2024 surrounded by her family in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Mrs. Schwegler was in failing health. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Mrs. Schwegler was born on April 19, 1945, to Jolly Reuben Warren and the former Lola Mae Rice at their home in Bernie, Missouri. She was married on September 11, 1965 in St. Louis, Missouri to William Leslie Schwegler.  A member of the Price Rd. Church of Christ, in Brownsville, Texas, she had been living with William in the community of Mission, Texas and next door to her sister Margie Greenwood. She spent her married life as a homemaker raising her two children as well as any child in her family or circle of friends when they needed assistance. She was baptized into Christ, and was an active, working member of the Church of Christ everywhere she lived in Missouri, Michigan, Louisiana, and Texas. She loved singing in church and preparing food for various events. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, following current events, shopping, and gardening.

Judy is survived by her son, Jason B. Schwegler and wife Shannon of Grand Blanc, Michigan; three grandchildren, Ethan, Kathryn and Johnathan Schwegler; and many other relatives and special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill and her daughter Stephanie Dawn Rigney.

Visitation at 6pm and Memorial Service at 7pm will be held on Monday, July 15, 2024 at the Otisville Church of Christ (13471 N State Rd, Otisville, MI).  A livestream is planned to be available on the church youtube channel at https://www.youtube.com/@otisvillechurchofchrist7105/streams

    My Aunt Judy was a beautiful lady, inside and out… She always loved us as family, even though we never lived close..God’s love showed through her and her gentle ways..She will be missed forever in our hearts..
