Born on August 3, 1961, in Flint, Michigan, Phil was a man whose life was marked by a robust dedication to his career in construction and a deep, abiding faith that brought him peace and redemption.
Phil spent his life working hard to make sure he had the things in life he needed. He was a simple man who didn’t need or want for much, he had goals and aspirations he was always working towards. Outside of work, Phil was a vibrant soul with a passion for the outdoors. He cherished moments spent camping, riding motorcycles, fishing, and exploring new cities and stores. These hobbies not only filled his days with joy but also brought memorable adventures to those who accompanied him.
Family was the cornerstone of Phil’s life. He leaves behind a loving family: daughters Nichole Skalecki and Felicia Skalecki; son-in-law Daniel Green; brother Ricky Skalecki; nephews Ricky Jr., Ryan, and Robert Skalecki; sister Judy Gonzalez and her children Amanda, Miro, Speedy, and Maria; and his cherished grandchildren Julian, Jaden, and Jordan. Phil was preceded in death by his mother Madeline Morgan, and brother Dale Skalecki.
Known for his infectious sense of humor, Phil could light up any room with his jokes and funny stories, making every gathering a bit brighter. His legacy is not just in the structures he built or the roads he traveled, but in the laughter he shared and the love he spread.
In accordance with his wishes, a private cremation will be held for immediate family. The Detroit Cremation Society in Grand Blanc, Michigan, is assisting the family during this time. Phil’s life, marked by laughter, love, and faith, will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by all who knew him.
