Barbara Ann Thomas
Barbara Ann Thomas, lovingly known as Barbie, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2024, at the age of 64 at her residence in Flint, MI. She was born on November 14, 1959, also in Flint, MI.
Barbara was a dedicated mother, cherished grandmother, and beloved wife to Jim Thomas. She found immense joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her world. Whether it was beach outings with her family, creating beautiful crafts in her craft room, or cheering on her favorite football player Patrick Mahomes on Sundays, Barbara always made the most out of life’s simple pleasures.
Barbara’s love for Mexican cuisine was well-known, and she greatly enjoyed indulging in her favorite dishes. She was also a big fan of Kid Rock and loved attending concerts whenever she had the chance.
In her free time, Barbara found entertainment in watching Judge Judy on television. She had a knack for finding strength in difficult times and lived by the motto, “You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only choice.”
Professionally, Barbara served as an Office Manager, contributing her skills and expertise to her workplace. However, her proudest accomplishment was raising her two children, Sarah Pridemore (Gabe Pridemore) and Adam Harrington (Aubrey Harrington), alongside her husband Jim. She was also a loving stepmother to Jimi Thomas (Mandy Thomas) and grandmother to Taylor Chase, Ephan Pridemore, Nevaeh Harrington, Gavin Thomas, and Gabrielle Thomas.
When Barbara and Jim wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle, they traveled to Thomarosa. This was their favorite spot to share with the kids, grandkids and friends. Their little slice of heaven on earth.
Barbara Ann Thomas will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her loving spirit, enthusiasm for life, and dedication to her loved ones will forever be cherished.
