Steven Mark Philpott


Age 68, of Ortonville, passed away on April 12, 2024. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Steven’s Tribute Wall at detroitcremationsociety.com.

Steven Mark Philpott was born on November 1, 1955, in Pontiac, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Neal and Donna (Barranger) Philpott. Steven will be remembered for his exceptional fine carpentry stills and his deep love of nature.

Surviving Steven is his daughter; Melissa (Steve) Speagle and son Zachery Philpott. Brother Neal   Philpott (Marie Naughton) and John Philpott. Grandchildren Ryder and Avery Speagle. Many cousins and dear friends.

Steven is preceded in death by his parents Neal and Donna Philpott.

    Steve was my parents neighbor. Dad could always count on him if he ever needed help with something. When Dad, and later, my Mother passed away, Steve missed them very much. Steve is a humble man who my family will always remember as kind hearted. What a smile!
