Thank you for sending the notification of his Services. He was a dear friend that will be missed.
I have known Doug since 1974. Sold him some motorcycle parts and we were friends ever since. I could never thank him enough for getting me into Ford Engine Design. We took many motorcycle trips over all those years and he was fun to be around. I will forever miss him. Rest in peace Brother.
Doug so loved his SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST . When he and I talked –it would not be long in the conversation that we would just thank GOD for HIS SON who loves us so too the top of our head to the soul of our feet Oh what times we had rejoicing that he saved us wretched as we are. We had tears of joy together. If I left out the precious blood he was quick to tell me how important that shed blood is for it has cleansed us from all sin. Will this goodbye is just for a fleeting moment and we who have trusted in HIM will see Doug bye and bye.
I praise God for allowing us to meet for a short time. See you in Heaven.
We just found this site as we were thinking about and looking for Doug. He was a great Christian friend to my aunt… Ella May Sliker. When she passed away, I was able to phone Doug and shared this with him. He told me he was very ill and not able to attend her funeral. I sent him a picture with his friend. I remember Doug was a great soldier for God, the “12 tribes” robe my aunt made for him, the ram’s horn he blew at sacred events, and his love for God and our Savior Jesus Christ. If you read this, and want to contact any of us who knew him in Sylvania, Ohio area….please email me at april.pronk@gmail.com

the Shofar (ram’s horn he blew at sacred events…and a smile as “big as the world”. It is nice to know that he is now home with his Maker. I’m sure that when he arrived at the gates, they were open wide and our Lord said to him, ” Well done, my good and faithful servant”
