Age 59, of Flint, Michigan passed away on June 27, 2022, at home. In accordance with John’s wishes, visitation will take place from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, on July 8, 2022, at Detroit Cremation Society, 8253 S. Saginaw St. Grand Blanc, Michigan 48439, with cremation to follow. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on John’s Tribute Wall at detroitcremationsociety.com.

John was born on February 21, 1963, in Grand Forks, North Dakota, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Sr. and Patricia (Culhane) DeGuise. John was affectionately known as “Flip” and “Uncle Beefy” to his nephew and nieces. John married the love of his life, Lora Lee in July 1994. John was an avid hunter and card player. He loved his dog, Bosephis “Bo” and cat, Licorice. John enjoyed riding his Harley and spending time with his family.

Surviving John are his mother; Patricia Braham (Harry), sister; Vickie DeGuise-Hutchisson (Jimmy), nephew; Michael “J” Lloyd, nieces; Amanda Lloyd (Tad), and Brittani DeGuise, step-sons; Billy Brown (Karla), Wayne Brown (Theresa), and David “Weazer” Brown (Tracie), step-mother; Laura DeGuise, and several grandchildren, cousins, and friends.

John was preceded in death by his wife; Lora Lee DeGuise, father; John Sr., and his grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to help with John’s funeral expenses.
