Obituary of Althea Jean Shastal

Age 68, of Waterford, passed away on February 6, 2022. In accordance with Althea's wishes, cremation has taken place. Althea Jean "Jeanie" Shastal was born on September 27, 1953, in Pontiac, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. Joseph DiPrima, and Mrs. Barbara Campbell. Jeanie graduated from Pontiac Northern with the class of 1972. Working in the restaurant industry for 44 years, Jeanie was employed by Big Boy Restaurants and Pete's Coney Island. She was a people person, who loved her job. In her free time, Jeanie loved to travel to the U.P. She was a true Yooper at heart. Left to cherish Jeanie's memory are husband; Sid Shastal, one daughter; Evie, and husband, Bernie Zeruhn, two sons; Ryan Belcher, Chris, and wife, Kyndra Belcher, seven grandchildren; Pax, Eli, Kai, Brady, Finn, Camryn, and Mallory, sister; Lydia Campbell, brother-in-law; Dave Burch, two nephews; Donavan Hall, Dominic, and wife, Racheal Hall, two great-nieces; Molly, Morgan, three great-nephews; Dominic, Hazen, and Parker, best friend; Rich DeVree. Althea was preceded in death by father; Joseph DiPrima, mother; Barbara Campbell, sister; Virginia Burch, and brother; David Campbell.
