I am somewhere stuck in sadness and joy. I have so many wonderful memories of Sue and the Kushuba family. I so looked forward to her posts and pictures of how her love of children, blossomed into a huge coveted clan of grandchildren! What a special magic she had in making everyone feel joy!
It took me years to shake and stop calling Sue, "Mrs. Kushuba". As a young neighbor, I loved playing with her children, which one by one, kept appearing every few years. I became the babysitter in charge, and loved it! But, for as much as I loved time with the kids, I loved endless talks with Sue when she came home from her various outings. No one, ever, could raid a sales rack for children's clothes, faster or better than her. She would race in, show me quick, and place them in the back of the closet, so Joe wouldn't know! She was always fun, many late nights at card parties, various tennis matches, and her funny giggle when Joe would try to pull one over on her. Through all the diapers, bow ties, and hair bows, she had no greater joy than her children and grandchildren. I am blessed to have known her, she was simply, lovely!
My thoughts and prayers are with all of your families, Chad, Kara, Stef, and Nick.

Sue and Joe were very involved parents who raised their children with a love of God, family, and neighbor.
